Judson Jones is a founding member of the dirigo group; he is also a member of Subterranean Theatre Company, Hyde Park Theatre, and NYUís First Look Theatre Company. Judson appeared in twenty productions while living in Austin. Some of those productions include: Bruce Sr. in Thanksgiving at the Batemanís, Bruce in Family Tradition, The German Student in The Soldier Dreams (Critics Table Award Winner for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama), and Greg in Bleacher Bums (Critics Table Award Winner for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy), all for STC; Art in Art Striped Naked for Hyde Park Theatre; Macduff in A Macbeth for The State Theater Company (Critics Table and B. Iden Payne Nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama); Troubled John in Salvage Vanguard Theatreís Fugitive Pieces (Critics Table Award for Best Actor in a Drama and B. Iden Payne Nomination for Best Actor in a Drama); Trigorin in the Mermaid Company production of The Seagull; Buzz Aldren in "One Small Step", Himself in Oversimplification and various roles in blah, blah, blah, in Austin and in the New York production, all for Bayou Radio Productions; various roles in 300 Plays About Vladimir Putin with the Rude Mechanicals; Caswell in Orange with Refraction Arts; and he was last seen in Austin as Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof with Austin Playhouse. His credits for the dirigo group include, Simeon in desire (B. Iden Payne Award for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama) Eddie in Fool for Love, Big ďAĒ in The Gypsy Chain, Lee and Austin in True West, The Stranger in The Middle of the Night (Critics Table Nomination for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama), and Ben in The Mercy Seat.
Judson has also kept busy producing and directing. His directing credits include bash by Neil LaBute (Critics Table Nomination for Best Director of a Drama), various salon readings for Austin Script Works including S-Man by Jennifer Haley, and The Elf for Salvage Van Guardís Best Holiday Show Ever. He has been fortunate to produce alongside some incredibly talented artists. Some of those collaborative efforts include Hedda, bash, desire, and Home Free, all for the dirigo group. Judson was also fortunate enough to be listed in the Austin Chronicle as one of Austinís Top 40 Most Valuable Performers.
Also while in Austin he lent his voice to many an ADV project. Some of his voice acting credits include Samurai X, Dai Guard, Getbackers, Steam Detectives and Soul Hunter.
Since moving to New York in the fall of 2004 he has kept himself busy. Along with serving on the Board of Directors for the dirigo group and producing from afar he has also been making his way onto the stage. He appeared as Mark in the production of The Information She Carried at the Access Theatre in the spring of 2005 and most recently as Charles Spierling in the Off-Broadway production of Haymarket at the Beckett Theatre.
Before his move to Austin, Judson toured the Southeastern U.S. with Troup DíJour, bringing life to such roles as Brutus in Julius Caesar, and the title role in Henry V. Some of his other regional credits include Willum in The Nerd, and David in Godís Favorite. He also did a two-year stint as a stuntman with Noble Cause Productions performing in live jousts and The Three Musketeer Stunt Show.
