Christa Kimlicko Jones is a founding member of the dirigo group. She now resides in NYC, but while in Austin, she had the privilege of working with several different companies including Austin ScriptWorks, Public Domain, Austin Shakespeare Festival, Refraction Arts, Hyde Park Theatre (member, acting company), State Theater Company, Austin Playhouse (member, acting company), and Bayou Radio Productions. Christa has also toured with BRAVVO! Productions and also with Troupe d’ Jour (educational Shakespeare troupe). She is a member of the acting company of “First Look” with NYU Tisch School of the Arts, dramatic writing program. She currently teaches acting at John Robert Powers in NYC, and has worked as an acting and voice/diction coach for productions and individuals. Christa holds an MFA in Acting from the University of Texas at Austin. She is a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association.

NYC Credits include: Rearview Mirror (as Lily for Manhattan Theatre Source); blah, blah, blah (FringeNYC); The Information She Carried (as Roxy at Access Theatre). Other notable credits include: Romeo and Juliet (Juliet); Oklahoma! (Ado Annie); Lee Anne in A Piece of My Heart (Irene Ryan National Finalist); desire: a reconsideration of Desire Under the Elms (as Abbie and receiving a B. Iden Payne award for Outstanding Lead Actress); Home Free! (Joanna); The Seagull (as Nina, receiving a Critic’s Table Nomination and B. Iden Payne Nomination); A Midsummer Night’s Dream (as Helena receiving a Critic’s Table Nomination); Hedda (as Hedda Gabler receiving a Critic’s Table Nomination); Helen in Umbrella (staged reading directed by Gary Garrison); and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (as Maggie, receiving a Critic’s Table Nomination).
