XL Recommended - 7.7.06-7.8.06: Dirigo Group presents a new script by celebrated Canadian playwright Daniel MacIvor, whose whip-smart scripts dig deep into the human psyche to reveal how relationships rise and fall on the words shared by lovers.
-- Jeanne Claire van Ryzin

From the Promoter: The dirigo group is proud to present Daniel MacIvor's hilarious and heartbreaking new play IN ON IT. One of Canada's most prominent playwrights, MacIvor has just finished a multi-year development process with this play (including performances at UT's Fresh Terrain festival a couple of years ago) and has personally provided the dirigo group with this newly rewritten, unpublished, and unperformed version. We are very proud to be chosen as one of the first companies to present this version of this brilliant play that takes a comical, cynical, but ultimately open-hearted look at the way lovers are brought together and torn apart; and the regret and grief that remains in the aftermath. This is a play that celebrates love, diversity, and the joys of theater. The lovers, Brian and Brad, are played by Austin theater legends Scotty Roberts and Robert Faires. Score by Leslie Gore and Donazetti, featuring Maria Callas.
